ABOUT
Tommy Kotsopoulos brings a wealth of hockey experience to the Buffalo Steel organization, built through a playing career that spanned more than a decade across North America's top junior and professional leagues. A native of Unionville, Ontario, Kotsopoulos developed his game in the Ontario hockey system before making the jump to the OHL, where he spent three seasons with the Sudbury Wolves. Known for his physical style of play, leadership, and competitiveness, he established himself as a respected presence both on and off the ice.
Following his junior career, Kotsopoulos continued his journey through the professional ranks, competing in leagues including the CHL, ECHL, UHL, SPHL, and WHA2. Throughout his career, he earned a reputation as a hardworking forward who brought energy, toughness, and consistency to every lineup. His experience playing for organizations across North America gave him a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed at higher levels of the game and adapt to different team environments.
Today, Kotsopoulos channels that experience into developing the next generation of players with the Buffalo Steel. His coaching philosophy emphasizes accountability, work ethic, and daily improvement while preparing athletes for advancement both on and off the ice. Drawing from years of firsthand experience, he is committed to helping players reach their full potential and navigate the path to junior, collegiate, and professional hockey opportunities.
